Canicola。
"Throw your eyes into the sea like a buoy. Narrating stories to make things endless, to stop the sadness. Tell a story with silence, with ambiguity, with emptiness. Telling a story the hard way, if necessary. Narrating the necessary, if possible. Incline emotions through action. Squeeze the drawings, dominate the errors, question sincerity and have a conversation with uncertainty. Demand attention, discover what is barely perceptible. Destroy the crosswords, cancel all its numbers and just stare at the blank squares. Gaze the black and white and put them into a portrait. Your eyes into the sea like fishing hooks, deep in the water. Observe what is real, tell a story. Stories like bodies, tales like buoys, narration like hiccups. Language like clothes, sign seen as a voice. Conversations in a magazine. A chess-like magazine, divided by affinities and contrasts. A tiny magazine with the desire to grow. Even number-wise. We have opened up a bit in this issue, pulling our chairs closer together and making room for Gian Alfonso. A good angel for us, a great narrator, one that we love to listen. One that never annoys us. Even when he is singing. This is how we would like to open up each time. Because it's in our nature. Because you can move around by areas but also following simple feelings. We would love to host other artists in the future. We don't have any plan yet. We feel cold. An apartment building magazine."
-- Edo Chieregato寫於《Canicola》No.3
